Frequently Asked Questions

How do you select, vet and ensure quality of your cleaners?

We receive around a hundred calls from prospective cleaners every week in response to our advertisements and all applicants are interviewed at their own homes to ensure their suitability. Any cleaners accepted onto our books are required to provide us with verifiable proof of identification (passport/full UK driving licence), proof of address (utility bills or bank statement), immigration status (valid visa + work permit) and proof of experience and reliability (minimum of 2 references from previous employers or clients). We also obtain a police check on the applicant before they are able to go on cleans alone or hold keys. We also test on common cleaning tasks and give all new applicants in-house training thus ensuring all our requirements and standards are met. Our clients’ happiness is paramount, therefore our screening process is thorough and only the best get through successfully.

Can I specify the day the cleaner comes?

We will make every effort to supply you with a suitable cleaner on your chosen day. We can put you on a waiting list for your day of choice if there isn’t any availability when you join us.

Who pays the cleaner, you or I?

We do.  We will invoice you at the end of the month and you can pay through online banking or cheque or cash, whichever is most convienent for you. One off cleans are invoiced after the clean. Payment is due upon reciept of invoice for all customers.

How long will it take you to provide me with a cleaner?

We aim to provide clients with a suitable cleaner within 5 working days.  Sometimes it may take a little longer. 

What do I do if the cleaner doesn't turn up?

This shouldn’t happen as our staff know that if they are unable to work they call the office asap. However, should this occur then simply call us and we will arrange another cleaner as soon as we can.

What happens if the cleaner can't get in or I go away?

We rely on our clients to inform us of holidays, illness, etc so that we can amend your account accordingly and rearrange cleaning schedules.  We also endeavor to keep our clients up-to-date with staff schedules.

What happens if we are not happy with the cleaner?

In the unlikely event that this happens let us know so that we can investigate further or dispatch a new cleaner.

Who is responsible for providing the cleaning equipment and products?

Clients are expected to provide cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner, iron and a mop and bucket, Creation Cleaning provides the cloths and products.

Are there any restrictions placed on the cleaner, with regards to what they will clean?

Yes.  Our cleaners will not carry out any deep or specialised cleaning of antiques, delicate or valuable items, nor will they carry out exterior window cleaning unless it is on the ground floor. Our Cleaners are also instructed to politely say "no" to any jobs they think may fall outside our Health and Safety regulations.

Is there insurance cover for any damages done by the cleaner?

Clients’ property is covered by our comprehensive public liability insurance policy, a copy of which is available on request.  It covers for major damages over £100 (e.g. damages to carpets or any objects) but it does not cover bleach spills as all of our cleaners are discouraged from using this product.
